Section 103 - Deductions of Tax at source on income received from interest on deposits in Post Office Savings Bank
At the time of payment by a person or person responsible for collection of tax from interest on deposit in Post Office Savings Bank as a payee, whichever is earlier, shall deduct Income Tax at the rate of 10% (ten percent): Provided that the provisions of this section shall not apply to any recipient or salaried employee exempted by the Board, by general or special order.
